Stay Informed Thursday, July 15, 2021 Photo courtesy of Sue Engdahl Arizona Audit Winds Down While Dems Challenge Tax Cut The hand count for the Arizona Audit is complete, but there is still analysis and writing of the final report to be done. As a double-check, there is a machine count of the ballots being conducted. This is just a count of the actual paper ballots and not of the votes on them. Like many of you, I am anxious to read the final report! The legislative session is complete, and Republicans delivered with the largest tax cut in state history. Democrats tried to block the tax cut, even refusing to show up for work to do their Constitutional duty: vote on a state budget. Now that the budget has been signed into law, Democrats are still trying to claw back the money from pockets of Arizonans just like you. In Arizona, we can refer passed laws to the ballot. Democrats’ radical allies have filed paperwork to gather signatures in an attempt to stop the tax cut. They have 90 days to gather around 120,000 valid signatures. They will probably use the same tired old lines they have before: that the referendum is “for the children” and “to have everyone pay their fair share.” It is just another Democrat power grab to grow government by taking your hard-earned money. Please inform your friends and neighbors to not be fooled if they encounter these petition gatherers. Thank you for all you are doing to ensure that Republicans are successful in 2022! Always America First! Dr. Kelli Ward Chairwoman Republican Party of Arizona June Jobs Report Shows Decline in Employment The June unemployment rate rose to 5.9 percent in June while 25-plus Republican governors are ending the Biden Administration’s policy of paying workers more not to work, according to an analysis of the June Jobs Report by the Republican National Committee. The decline reported in the June unemployment report follows two consecutive months of disastrous job reports when hundreds of thousands of predicted employment opportunities failed to materialize. The administration’s enhanced unemployment benefits policy is holding back the economy while incentivizing American workers to stay on the sidelines. Businesses are struggling to hire and re-open and workers are struggling to get back their jobs due to the Biden administration’s harmful economic policies. Those hardest hit in the June report were women, Blacks, Hispanics and Latinos, Asian Americans plus workers without a high school education or college degree.
