John,
Today, we’re officially two weeks into our campaign to elect Laurie Bishop to Congress and move Montana forward. Exciting, isn’t it?!
That also means we’re already facing our first fundraising deadline: can you chip in now to help us raise $5,000 by midnight tonight?
Laurie’s historic announcement made headlines across the country. Check out these highlights:
“State Rep. Laurie Bishop on Thursday became the first Democrat to jump into the 2022 race for Montana’s new congressional district, saying she’s someone who can work on bipartisan solutions that boost the economy.”
— KTVH
“When asked what she wants Montanans to take from her campaign, Bishop answered with one word, “hope.”
— Livingston Enterprise
"'I look forward to bringing these lessons from our small town to Washington, D.C.,' Bishop said at the campaign announcement."
— Bozeman Daily Chronicle
“[S]he plans to focus her campaign on increasing access to child care and affordable housing, strengthening mental health services, and protecting public lands.”
— U.S. News
Laurie announced her candidacy in her home, surrounded by family, friends and neighbors who showed an outpouring of energy, love, and support.
It’s clear that Montanans are excited about this race. Laurie’s experience representing the people of Livingston in the Montana House and working with education advocates across the state has prepared her to fight for the best interests of every Montanan in our nation’s capital.
But if we’re going to get her there, we need to keep up this momentum!
Tonight is our mid-month fundraising deadline, and we need to raise another $5,000 so we can pay for yard signs, start traveling across the state, and keep the campaign on track. Can you chip in $10 or more today?

Thank you for everything you’ve done so far to support Laurie’s campaign. We know Laurie can win this race, but it’s going to take all of us working together to get her across the finish line.
Onward!
— Team Bishop
