He spread Trump's lies. He worked to overturn the election results. Now he's running for election.

Detroit Free Press: “Lawyer who pushed Antrim County election fraud claims running for attorney general”

Friend, we just got word that one of Michigan's loudest election conspiracy theorists has entered the race for attorney general.

It's absurd that someone who backed the false claims that led to a violent attack on our nation’s Capitol could still believe they’re capable of serving in the same democracy they wanted to destroy.

But Republicans are now treating those who sought to overturn our elections as something to celebrate instead of stop.

That's why we expect this opponent to have support from dark money groups, the Michigan GOP, and maybe even Donald Trump himself so we have to quickly gather the resources needed to defend Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Will you show Dana you've got her back by making a $10 donation before our mid-month deadline tomorrow at midnight? Your support will help us quickly gather the resources we need to secure another victory in 2022.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Since she was elected, Dana has taken dozens of actions to protect our elections and hold Trump and his team of lawyers accountable for the lies they spread in court.

But her opponent's attacks on our democracy make it clear that he's ready to roll back the progress Dana has fought so hard to protect. We can't let that happen. We need this grassroots team to step up right away to defend Dana so she can continue defending our democracy.

We need a surge of support today to defend this seat from right-wing extremists. So please, rush a donation of $10 before our mid-month deadline tomorrow at midnight.

Thank you for stepping up,

Michigan Dems
