Weaponizing the filibuster, Mitch McConnell is guaranteeing that most of the vital legislation we care about, including voting rights protections and gun reform, never even get a vote in the Senate. But the filibuster isn’t established anywhere in the Constitution. It’s a procedural rule with racist roots that can and should be removed.
