Every month, we sit down with Dwight to outline the resources we'll need to continue rushing support to vulnerable Democrats across the country. One of the leaders who needs our support is Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05).

Jahana is one of the most vulnerable House Democrats going into the midterm election, and we plan to rush her emergency funds before Friday's mid-month deadline. But here's the situation: to stay on track with our July fundraising, we need to raise $2,000 before the deadline -- and we're still $1,309 short of our goal.

Before becoming Connecticut's FIRST Black congresswoman, Jahana was nominated National Teacher of the Year in 2016 by President Barack Obama. She's traveled the country advocating for Black communities and students, and she's no stranger to going to bat for people who are too often left out, left behind, or left unheard.

Jahana and Dwight are leading the charge for bold solutions to economic inequality, climate injustice, and more. But with Republicans only five seats away from taking back the House majority, we can't miss important deadlines like this one.
