John,
On taxes, Presidents Biden and Trump aren’t even close.
While Trump signed a $2 trillion tax scam into law in his first year in office, President Biden has prioritized putting money into the pockets of millions of working families.
Today, the expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) payments―signed into law by President Biden in March―start rolling out to eligible families. Previously, CTC payments were only made once a year during tax season. Now, they’ve been enhanced to ensure low-income families can receive the full tax benefit, and they’re reaching people every month instead of once a year.
Check out our latest infographic below to show, in the starkest terms, the difference between Presidents Biden and Trump on tax fairness. Then pitch in today to bring this graphic to millions of people and fight to make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent!
While this tax credit is a huge lifeline to tens of millions of families (it’s cutting child poverty nearly in half), the CTC expansion only lasts for one year.[1] We’re fighting to ensure low-income and working families can continue to receive this tax credit every month for years to come.
