Rick Scott in Fox News: Real Police Reform – Ignore Dems' Radical Policies and Start With This Commonsense Step
In case you missed it, Senator Rick Scott wrote an op-ed for his favorite news outlet, Fox News, on his support for police reform. Senator Scott outlines how effective police reform should start with professional accreditation to help hold officers accountable. Professional accreditation doesn’t remedy the hidden biases seen through police violence. Nor does it provide the knowledge about mental health, disabilities and income disparities and how to address those issues that our police officers are faced with daily.
In the op-ed, Senator Rick Scott wrote that needed changes in law enforcement won’t come from the Democrats’ radical proposals like defunding the police. Scott emphasized that cities and police agencies across our nation retreat from effective policing and, as a result, violent crime is spiking.
In contrast to Scott’s claims, and a check in reality, President Biden has indeed opened up the Covid relief funds so that communities can use the money to hire more police officers to curb violent crimes, address the root causes of crimes, supplement over time costs, increase overtime pay and work on community policing strategies. Eric Adams, New York City’s Democratic Mayoral Candidate, joined Biden this week to discuss these strategies. You can read about that meeting and watch an interview with Mr. Adams about policing here:

This op-ed is from Scott is pretty shocking considering he didn’t support the Capitol Police after the January 6^th insurrection. He clearly hasn’t backed the blue!

DeSantis Selling Anti-Fauci Beverage Coolers
Our Governor has decided to sell Covid mocking merchandise. DeSantis should not be making money for his political campaign on the backs of the hundreds of thousands of Americans dying from Covid and the rapid spread of the Delta variant in Florida.
