The second quarter fundraising numbers are in: the House GOP just raised a whopping $45.4 million, smashing their own quarterly off-year records and outraising Democrats by over $9 million.
This means House Republicans are going into the midterms with a cash-on-hand advantage and the minority party advantage. And even worse: they only need 5 seats to flip the House.
Republicans are smashing fundraising records in an off-year because they're aggressively fundraising — rallying their base around disgraced ex-president Trump, and using potent ad campaigns to falsely smear Democrats as "the radical left."
We need to match that energy and exceed it.
We know that every possible dollar out of the $45 million House Republicans just raised will go towards attacking vulnerable House Democrats and spreading lies to scare and mislead voters.
