Dear John,

“I don’t think their feet touched the ground on the way out.”

This was how one of our attendees described her two guests’ reaction to last month’s 2021 Annual Dinner.

I am grateful to have received this positive feedback and more like it, that called the dinner program the “best one yet”, that observed that the Holy Spirit was particularly evident or that described the message as compelling.

It was a special evening, with a dynamic keynote address from Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and a clarion call to exercise citizenship worthy of the Gospel of Christ, as Paul explained in Philippians 4:29.

I only wish more Minnesotans could have been there to hear it! Delays in reopening our state made it impossible for us to lock in the date earlier, which prevented many of our allies and most generous supporters from attending.

As a result, the revenue for the night – which typically sustains us through the lean-giving summer months – was short of what we had hoped for or expected.

That’s why I’m asking for your generosity to help us meet the summer need and maximize the unmet portion of the matching challenge from last month’s dinner.

You see, we have an $85,000 matching challenge – and generous donors contributed $70,000 at the dinner – so your gift of $25, $50, $100 or even more, as the Lord leads, will be doubled – until we reach $15,000 in contributions.

Your generous support is vital to the existence of this ministry, but I also want to ask you to help us get the word out about what we do, and why.

One first-time dinner attendee commented that she didn’t know such a ministry even existed

Do you know anyone who falls into this category? We’d love it if you told them about our purpose and vision, and shared this link to a printable brochure that we distributed at the dinner for that purpose. We think this captures our core mission better than anything else we’ve produced in a long-time.

Maybe it’ll help you better understand what we do and why. Maybe it will illuminate the Scriptural foundation on which we are built. But whether you know all this already or find it new information, please consider sharing this with a friend.

We want as many people as possible to be part of this movement … to dream with us about a Minnesota in which every follower of Jesus (and even many who believe in our values without yet believing in the One who designed them) exercises his or her citizenship in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ. We long to see that…

  • Minnesotans understand what biblical citizenship looks like and exercise it in all areas of their lives.
  • Pastors, in particular, are teaching this to their flock while also connecting with those who are charged with shepherding God’s government.
  • We are impacting the laws that govern our state through grassroots movements and lobbying efforts in support of policies that strengthen life, family and religious freedom in Minnesota.
  • We are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to selecting our leaders, by training Christians to vote according to their values, supporting those whom God has raised up to run for office and informing Minnesotans across the state of the crucial issues that must be considered and where each candidate stands on them.
  • We are educated about our rights and equipped to stand up for them when elected officials overstep their bounds or pass laws that stand against what is commanded in Scripture for our benefit and His glory.

This is what we are working toward … and by God’s grace we have accomplished much in each of these realms through the Church Ambassador Network, True North Legal and the twin core ministries of Minnesota Family Institute and Minnesota Family Council.

If you know all this already, great! – but there are many who don’t, and we need more people like you and me. While the Lord has won many battles with an outnumbered army, elections must still be won by majority. It’s imperative that we expand our base by mobilizing those who share our values, but aren’t yet engaged.

Will you share this printable brochure with others and invite them to check us out, and will you also prayerfully consider a special summer gift of $25, $50, $100 to take advantage of the $15,000 remaining on our $70,000 annual dinner matching challenge?

Thank you and God bless you!

For life, family, and religious freedom,

John Helmberger, CEO
