Here’s how this crisis started: After a record number of women, led by brown and Black organizers, voted Trump out of office and won us a Democratic majority in Congress — Republicans have been plotting their revenge.

The GOP knows they can’t win fairly on their platform. Instead, they decided their strategy will be to suppress our votes, manipulate elections, and spread disinformation so they can win.

So after the 2020 Election, the GOP started passing hundreds of bills to restrict voting rights and make it harder for us to vote: Nearly 400 voter suppression bills (across 48 states) have now been introduced in local legislatures and the GOP is showing no signs of slowing down.

But then, this week, Texas Democrats decided to take a stand against the latest round of voter suppression bills that was introduced in the State House. They fled the state to block a vote from happening and as a result they’re now risking arrest.

Now, Women’s March is determined to follow their brave example and step up in this fight to defend our voting rights. Together, we can leverage our grassroots power to counter GOP attacks. Are you with us, John?
