United States Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) is a former U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who has served as the junior United States Senator for Illinois since 2017. A proud Iraq War veteran and helicopter pilot, she represented Illinois's 8th district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, after Tammy became the first U.S. Senator to give birth while serving in office, she worked to change Senate rules to allow Senators to bring their infant children onto the Senate floor as they do their job voting on issues of national importance -- sending a message that all workplaces should be family-friendly. She has since passed several pieces of legislation making traveling easier for new moms and people with disabilities. Read U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth’s full bio here.

Pro-choice women shattered ceilings, flipped seats, and saved majorities in the 2020 Election. But this fall, Trump’s anti-choice Supreme Court is set to hear a case that could gut Roe v. Wade. If they succeed, access to abortion will be left in the hands of state lawmakers -- and every single seat in the Minnesota House and Senate is up for election in 2022 because of redistricting. We hope you will join us at the Annual Luncheon to celebrate the pro-choice women who continue to step up to run for office and change the world. Together, we are protecting reproductive rights and unapologetically changing the face of power for generations to come.

This is an in-person event, and we will follow all CDC and State of Minnesota public health regulations. Should regulations change and/or limit our ability to host in-person, this event will take place virtually and sponsorships will be recognized. Should you prefer to sponsor and attend virtually, Women Winning can accommodate.

Thank you for your long standing commitment to pro-choice women’s leadership. I hope to see you on September 20th!

Sincerely,

Meggie
