- Intercessory Novena of Holy Masses invoking Saint Anne, the
Grandmother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, from July 17 – 25 and on the
Feast Day Holy Mass on July 26.
Dear Friend,
Join me in a novena to the mother
of Our Blessed Mother and the grandmother of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
When we invoke St. Anne, she will bring our intentions straight to her
grandson. And who can refuse their grandmother?
Undoubtedly, Our Lord holds a
special place in His Sacred Heart for his grandmother. These days
especially, there is a great deal of need for St. Anne's
intercession.
Recently, Pope Francis proclaimed
the First World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, in which Faithful
Catholics may gain a Plenary Indulgence, which will be July
25th this year. We will include more information
and the special prayers to gain the Plenary Indulgence in day nine of
the novena.
Do you know about the Patronage of
Saint Anne?
Patroness Against Poverty, Patron Saint of Broom Makers, Cabinetmakers,
Canada, Carpenters, Childless people, Equestrians, Grandmothers,
Grandparents, Homemakers, Horse Men and Women, Housewives, Lace
Workers, Lost Articles, Mothers, Old-Clothes Dealers, Pregnancy,
Pregnant Women and Women in Labor, Seamstresses, Stablemen and
Sterility.
Over these nine days, let us plead
for our personal intentions as well as for our loved ones who have
sailed away from the harbor of Truth. Let’s also ask St. Anne to fortify us in our daily spiritual
battles and also on the demonic acts of outrageous fires and damage,
inflected upon Churches in Canada and those around the
world.
Devotion to St. Anne has spread
throughout the world. In Quebec City, the Shrine of
Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré houses major relics of her finger and the
forearm which held the infant Mary. Half a million pilgrimage there
each year and to St. Anne’s credit, we know that countless sick have
been miraculously cured on site. May these beautiful witnesses serve
to break our hesitations to ask; we need only ask her to obtain favors
for us too!
