Jack, Senate Democrats announced a plan to move forward with $3.5 trillion in new human infrastructure spending (jobs, health care, child care, paid family and medical leave, etc) via budget reconciliation—a process that is not subject to the filibuster and allows Democrats to get things done against Republican obstruction. This $3.5 trillion comes on top of the $579 billion being negotiated as a bipartisan bill with Senate Republicans for a whopping $4.1 trillion total.

Let's be clear: This is a good plan.

Now let's finish the job. We have a long way to go--months--before this bill becomes law, and huge forces will be arrayed against us to stop it.
