This NPR headline today about the fight to protect voting rights should
make every Democrat queasy: "Democrats' strategy may simply hinge on
winning future elections" WHAT?!!

Every Democrat in Congress should be ALL IN to protect the right to vote
NOW when it is under attack. This shows how critical it is that we keep
the pressure on senators to do the one thing that will make passing the
For The People Act possible -- REFORM THE FILIBUSTER.

We've teamed up with veterans group Common Defense to make this happen.
Now, tens of thousands of people have signed on to veterans' message
telling senators to pass the For The People Act.

pass the For The People Act and reform the filibuster to get the job done
of protecting America’s democracy. (You do not need to be a veteran to
sign.)

Veterans are trusted messengers in our communities. They are a group that
many senators -- including Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema -- listen to.
Amplifying veterans’ message will put pressure on our elected officials
and help secure voting rights for all.

Veterans served this country to protect and defend American democracy --
not the filibuster.

But millions of disabled people, including many military veterans, will
have their right to vote taken away by Republican-run state governments
unless the Senate takes urgent action to guarantee early voting, mail-in
voting, and other protections that enable Americans to vote.

Voter suppression hits America’s 4.7 million veterans with service-related
disabilities particularly hard because many can’t stand in long lines or
vote in crowded, chaotic polling places.

Like many other people with disabilities, veterans often depend on early
voting and mail-in voting -- two top targets of Republican voter
suppression laws that threaten to disenfranchise veterans from the
democratic rights they sacrificed to defend.

Recent rulings show that this conservative Supreme Court won’t protect the
right to vote or stand up to the corrosive influence of dark money on
America’s democracy. That's why veterans are calling on the Senate to
support voting rights and do everything in their power to pass the For the
People Act — including ending the filibuster.

Together, tens of thousands of us have been taking action to protect
voting rights -- calling senators, rallying in the streets, attending
vigils, and more.

Now, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee -- alongside allies
including the Progressive Reform Network, Daily Kos, The Juggernaut
Project, Progress America, Integrity First Voter Action Project, The Six
PAC, Iron PAC, Crazy Eight PAC, and People United PAC -- is proud to stand
in solidarity with veterans group Common Defense telling Congress that all
Americans deserve an equal voice in the elections that shape our future.

senators and show that we stand together in solidarity. (You do not need
to be a veteran to sign.)

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
