John, Governor Lamont
signed a new law last week to prevent flooding in Connecticut,
expand environmental infrastructure projects, and empower towns
to fight the climate crisis.
As Governor Lamont told state legislators, “I really believe in
50 years, people are going to remember this as one of the most
important bills you passed this year.”
But this is just the beginning — the climate crisis demands
transformative action from all levels of government, and
Connecticut Democrats are focused on ensuring that happens here
in our state.

Scientists have predicted that unless we take immediate action to
drastically reduce carbon emissions we’ll face a global climate
catastrophe in the coming decades.
Already this summer we’ve seen record heat waves in every corner
of the globe. John, the climate crisis is here, and the time to act is now.
