Get a whiff of the future
with CCL's 'Smells Like Climate Change' contest
Ever wonder what the world will smell like in the future if climate change continues on its current course? CCL’s Marketing team did, and they’ve just launched a campaign — “Smells Like Climate Change” — to let everyone know it will really stink if we don’t put a price on carbon. With the aim of generating some buzz and initiating conversations about pricing carbon, the team created “air fresheners” with three different scents that were sent to social media influencers and journalists — Burnt Pine, Smoggy City, and Bleached Reef. "This is a fun, creative way to get people's attention, and get them talking about a price on carbon at the same time," said CCL creative consultant Nick Huey. Want to be the proud owner of these climate inaction scents? Go to our post on Instagram and follow the rules to enter our contest. Ten winners will receive a set of all three. Deadline is next Wednesday, July 21.
