Hi John,
Some people told me to start small.
Forget running for Congress.
Bide my time and pay my dues. Wait my turn.
When I decided we’ve been waiting our turn long enough and it’s time for someone to represent the people and not corporations…
...the establishment kicked into high gear.
Can you contribute to my campaign now to show them we’re going to win?
Last campaign, the DCCC (the campaign arm of the House Democrats) blacklisted people from working for my campaign, meaning that anyone who worked with me was barred from working with any of the DCCC’s candidates. Which is most of Congress.
And while they’ve officially rescinded the rule, it’s still in effect...it’s just unspoken now. How do I know? Because candidates have been hearing so from campaign workers.
Just goes to show that the establishment cares more about money and power than helping people.
My opponent, Derek Kilmer, is the 13th most conservative Democrat in the House.
He refuses to support single-payer healthcare, which is in the WA Democratic Party platform…
He joined with Republicans to sign a letter calling for cuts to Social Security...
And he takes money from Chevron and Marathon Petroleum while the planet burns...
Our district has been Democratic for 56 years, and Kilmer is simply a bad fit for it. His policies aren’t what we want.
People said Democrats would never support someone other than Derek Kilmer. Former Kilmer fans are now on our side.
People said I wouldn’t raise any money. Last campaign I raised more than all of Kilmer’s challengers in the previous three cycles combined.
My message is resonating. The message that in the richest country on Earth, no one should be hungry, homeless, without healthcare, or in poverty.
That’s why I’m running, and that’s why I’m running to win.
In the past month since I announced this campaign, we’ve built incredible momentum and it’s only growing.
I need to raise $6,721.70 by this Sunday at midnight to be on track to hit our monthly goal and win this race. Will you chip in to show the DCCC they can’t beat us?
We need this to keep growing the movement, and everything helps — $7, $27 — whatever you can afford. Donate right now to help us bring this movement to Congress:

Thank you,

Candidate for Congress, WA-06
P.S. YOU are my only donors. Real, everyday people. Unlike corporate Kilmer — who’s taken $3.8 million in corporate PAC money — I take $0 in corporate PAC or lobbyist money.
That means no fundraisers that cost $2,900 to get entry to.
No calls to Big Oil, pharma, or Wall Street executives to curry their favor.
No dropping $10K on catering.
When you’re funded by the grassroots like I am, every dollar counts. Please chip in whatever you can, so we can meet our July goal.
