When Democrats won the Governor’s Mansion in 2017 and the General Assembly two years later, we set out to ensure that every Virginian, no matter where they work, is paid a decent, livable wage. Together, we’ve passed legislation to raise the minimum wage for the first time in over a decade, but this progress is not a done deal. The legislation must be renewed in 2023, and Glenn Youngkin and the Virginia GOP want it STOPPED.

Terry McAuliffe: “Hardworking Virginians deserve a raise, and I will make sure they get it by raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour in the next three years”


The takeaway is clear: Glenn Youngkin, a man worth over $300 million, thinks that everyday Virginians don’t deserve to be paid a fair wage, and if he wins this November, he’ll make sure to reverse all of the progress we’ve made.

That’s why we must elect Terry McAuliffe and Virginia Democrats up and down the ballot -- to make sure Virginia workers are paid what they deserve.
