John --
Thanks to your support I was elected to the Board of Supervisors in
2018 with the promise to be your neighborhood voice at City Hall.
Since then I have worked steadfastly to live up to that
commitment:
When our small businesses faced
extinction during the pandemic, I secured more than $20
million in direct relief and championed expanding restaurant space
outdoors.
When we saw an increase in car
break-ins and property crimes, I fought to preserve $10
million in funding for the police department’s academy classes and
overtime for officers to protect our neighborhoods -- all
while facing opposition from my colleagues.
When unscrupulous government officials
exploited loopholes and lax oversight for personal gain, I
authored a comprehensive legislative package to reform contracts,
grants, and added a level of accountability to the Behavioral Health
Commission in order to keep corruption out of City Hall.
When shootings increased citywide,
I was the first person in California to introduce legislation
that bans untraceable ghost guns, which are increasingly
showing up in San Francisco crimes.
When I learned that domestic violence
cases weren’t being charged, I authored legislation to hold
our public safety agencies accountable.
I have consistently demanded accountability, action, and good
governance because I refuse to give up on the City we all love.
That's why I'm excited to
announce that I am running for reelection as your District 2
Supervisor.
I
hope you will make a contribution today to support my campaign so I
can continue to lead with courage, compassion, and common sense as I
tackle these issues head on.
Warm Regards,
Supervisor Catherine Stefani http://www.supervisorstefani.com/
