No matter what state you’re in, tell your senator to pass the For the People Act!

Indivisibles,

We did it -- we showed up to meet the deadline in June and July. But your senator still needs to hear from you to make sure they got the message before the crucial August Senate session.

Wow, did Indivisibles answer the Deadline for Democracy! We ended up with 375 events in 40 states and Washington DC. You can bet your senator took notice -- and you can drive the point home by calling them to tell them to pass the For the People Act without letting the filibuster get in the way

The Deadline for Democracy was the biggest week of action in the history of Indivisible, but now Senators are back in Washington, and every day counts. All around the country, Indivisibles braved the heat and returned to in-person events safely and powerfully. Now, the best way to keep pushing for S.1 is to call your Senator. We’ll make it easy, connecting you automatically and providing you with the language you can use. And to show our appreciation for all you do, we’ll even throw in a free sticker for anyone who makes a call!

Ending the filibuster is the key to progress on democracy and voting rights, fighting the climate crisis, ending the pandemic, and combating white supremacy. Indeed racist senators have repeatedly used it to uphold Jim Crow legislation and other voter suppression laws targeting voters of color. Defeating the filibuster would be a victory for freedom 150 years in coming, which is why we picked this image for our stickers, and why we are giving them away to anyone who makes a call. We provided t-shirts with these and other For the People logos at Deadline for Democracy events, and now we want to give Indivisibles who are part of the final push to call their senators these stickers!

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to our call page to end the filibuster to pass S. 1.
  2. Give your name and location, so the person who picks up (or the staffer listening to the voicemail) knows you’re a constituent.
  3. Share your message (Senator, support S. 1, and don’t let the filibuster get in the way!)
  4. Thank the person for their time.
  5. Click the "I'm Done" button on the call page. We will send you a link to claim your sticker! (make sure you make the call through our system so we know you’ve done it.)

That’s it! When you call your senators through this page, you will receive a text message with the link to the page to claim your sticker! Please don’t share the link, but you are absolutely welcome to share the call page so your friends and family can make their calls and get their own stickers.

Want to make this a habit? Click below to add a reminder to call your senator automatically to your calendar. We can’t give you a sticker every time, but you will have our gratitude and appreciation and know you are doing the most effective action every day to pass the For the People Act. Phone calls and in-person meetings are the most effective ways to influence your senator, and since we need to pass this bill before August recess, calling daily now is truly crucial. We know it might feel odd to call over and over, but please know that your second and third calls are just as important as the first one. Click on one of the links below, and we’ll add a reminder to your calendar with all the details:
