Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is one of the worst politicians in America, and civil rights attorney Lee Merritt is one of the best possible people to replace him.

Paxton is under indictment for defrauding investors — while in office — and under FBI investigation for doing special favors for a donor who helped cover up Paxton’s affair. Eight of Paxton’s closest aides quit and publicly accused him of "bribery, abuse of office and other crimes."

Paxton also upholds the Big Lie that Donald Trump should be President, and personally went to Washington DC to speak at the rally that led to the January 6th Capitol Riot that attempted to overturn the 2020 election.

Despite all of that, Paxton will be hard to beat. He is shameless about taking unlimited donations from CEOs and corporate PACs, whose interests he goes on to defend in office. Lee will have a tough uphill battle.
