Hi John,Â
I don’t think we’ve had the chance to meet yet - I’m Masoud Loghmani, NIAC's newest board member.Â
The continued strain on the U.S.-Iran relations and the constant news of human rights violations in Iran can be so frustrating that one may be tempted to just give up, and tune the news out. But I am sure that you’d agree that inaction in the face of injustice is not acceptable. I joined NIAC’s board because I wanted to make an impact for our community, both at home and abroad.
NIAC’s commitment to advancing policies that promote peace and diplomacy at a global level is critical to advancing human rights on the international stage and building a more democratic world, especially in Iran. Before NIAC, our community had no voice. We didn’t have a seat at the table when discussing policies, like the travel ban, that impact our families. We didn’t have a mechanism of advocacy with lawmakers. Now we do, and I’m proud that NIAC is leading that fight.
But with U.S. sanctions keeping millions of Iranians from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, the threat of American airstrikes in the Middle East, JCPOA talks on the horizon this fall, and important advocacy efforts on the Hill, it’s critical that we have the funds to stay on track with our 2021 policy agenda.
Can we count on you to chip in now to help grow NIAC’s work so that our voice becomes louder? Any amount you give today goes directly to supporting this important work.Â

Thank you for being a part of the NIAC team, John.
