Defense News | House appropriators advance $706 billion defense spending bill

The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday approved a $706 billion defense spending bill for fiscal 2022 over the objections of panel Republicans.

The 33-23 party line vote to approve the bill followed objections from Republicans that the budget's $10 billion, or 1.4 percent, increase was not enough to counter threats from China and around the globe.
