Vote Forward is an innovative program where volunteers write heartfelt, personalized letters to irregular, Democratic-leaning voters who need that extra "nudge" to cast a ballot. You volunteer on your own schedule, write as many letters as you wish whenever works best for you, and mail them out at once on a predetermined date (which in this case is in September.)

Sending letters to voters has been statistically proven to increase turnout among people who receive the letters by about 3%. You will encourage voters from underrepresented communities in Virginia to request their absentee ballots in advance of the election in November

Keep Fighting,

Jack, Virginia has a governor's race in November—and whether we can get out the Democratic vote can predict our chances in the 2022 midterms. We are favored to win in November, but low turnout among infrequent voters could hurt us.

Vote Forward just released a batch of 500,000 letters that we need help on. Click to volunteer and write letters to Democratic-leaning voters in Virginia, urging them to request absentee ballots in advance of the November general election.

Virginia is a historically red state that has turned blue in recent years, thanks to a higher turnout of irregular Democratic voters. Due to these elections, Virginia recently became the first state in the South to abolish the death penalty and legalize marijuana. But just because these voters come out in presidential years does not mean they will vote in November 2021.

In fact, the Cook Political Report just downgraded the Virginia governor's race from "Likely Democrat" to "Lean Democrat"—due to uncertainty of what Democratic turnout will be. That's where your work comes in. We need you to start writing letters today, urging voters in Virginia to request absentee ballots so we can have a healthy Democractic turnout.
