We are running one of the most grassroots-powered presidential campaigns in history. When I announced my campaign for president in January, I was effectively starting my campaign from scratch. But we’ve made the last three debates with your help. 
 
When I prepared to run for president I decided to reject any help from PACs, special interest groups and lobbyists. Our average contribution is just $18, one of the lowest in the Democratic field. 
 
I didn’t start with an email list of tens of thousands of names and, unlike some of my opponents, I am not able to self-fund my campaign to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, or transfer millions of dollars to my campaign from prior campaign accounts.
