Let’s celebrate these mega marine mammals and pledge to keep them safe this summer! |
Like us, orca live in a close-knit community with a unique language and culture. A keystone species, they help sustain the ocean so thousands of species thrive.
Yet across the globe, dozens of these deeply intelligent, family animals live isolated in captivity. Kept in barren tanks, they’re trained to perform unnatural tricks.

But, in the wild, orca can dive 200m and swim 100 miles a day. Imagine how captive orca must suffer! They belong in the wild with their families. Get involved: - Please pledge not to visit a dolphinarium this summer holiday
- Instead look for wild orca, including off the UK coast
- Adopt Spinger the orca, includes gift pack & FREE cuddly toy

Just two when her mother died, Springer became lost near Seattle, USA. Born Free helped bring her 250 miles by boat back to her wild family near Vancouver Island, Canada. Today, 21-year-old Springer has two calves of her own, Spirit and Storm.
