Republicans are installing barriers to block disabled folks, including many military veterans, from their fundamental right to vote.
Veterans served our country to defend democracy, not to have their own democratic rights stripped away.
Republican-led state legislatures are passing mountains of bills aimed at making it harder for many Americans to cast their ballots.
The undemocratic voter restriction bills will hit America’s 4.7 million veterans with service-related disabilities especially hard.
For many, driving to a polling place, standing in line for hours, and going to crowded polling places is simply not an option.
The Senate must take immediate action to guarantee early voting, mail-in voting, and additional protections that enable all Americans to vote. Our veterans took an oath to defend our democracy, not the undemocratic filibuster.
