In 2018, I lost the OH-12 Special Election by just 1,600 votes.

In a district that Trump won in 2016 by 12 points.
In a district that usually goes to Republicans by 30+ points.
In a district that no one thought would be competitive.

We brought it to the brink of flipping, John.

People are already counting us out again because they know the deck is stacked against us -- whoever our Republican opponent is, they will have all the dark money they can dream of at their disposal.

I don’t have that though, John -- and frankly, I don’t want it.
