For decades, Congress has failed to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Meanwhile, millions of undocumented immigrants -- many of whom are essential workers and helped pull us through the worst days of the pandemic -- work hard, raise families and support their communities while living in fear of deportation.

Now, Congress has the opportunity to include a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants in the upcoming human infrastructure bill (also known as the American Jobs and Families plan, or as the budget reconciliation bill).

We have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of millions of people. We must urge Congress to get on board and provide a pathway to citizenship in the upcoming human infrastructure bill.
