HBCUs are currently responsible for 25% of Black STEM degrees. It is estimated that 50% of Black lawyers and doctors attended one of these universities, and HBCU graduates are twice as likely to recall a time they felt supported by a professor than at a predominantly White school.

We must continue to invest in HBCUs to level the playing field for Black and brown communities.
