"[Governor Gretchen Whitmer] puts what’s right ahead of what’s popular."
Friend, this quote from Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to Detroit yesterday really stuck with me:

"[Governor Gretchen Whitmer] puts what’s right ahead of what’s popular."

I can’t overstate how fortunate Michiganders are to have Governor Whitmer leading us out of this pandemic. Jumpstarting our economy, investing in education, and fixing the damn roads have been on the governor's agenda since the very beginning. And she's fought tirelessly over the past few months to deliver on those promises.

For the first time in years, Michigan has a budget surplus and every day we're starting to see new signs of hope in our economy. I can only imagine what the Whitmer-Gilchrist administration will be able to accomplish in their second term.

We know from 2020 that the key to our continued success as Democrats and as a state, is a strong state party. That means we're counting on you, friend.
