Kids Wave U.S. Flag . . . In Cuba

As reported, anti-communist demonstrations erupted all over Cuba this weekend. Within hours, the communist regime had taken down the social media platforms that had promoted the demonstrations.

But before the communist tyrants managed to shut off the Internet, one inspiring image escaped the island nation. It was an image of Cuban demonstrators, at great personal risk, marching behind an American flag ([link removed]) . That image should warm the hearts of all right-thinking Americans.

American symbols have often inspired people yearning to be free. A year ago, when they were still free, the people of Hong Kong ([link removed]) paraded through the streets proudly waving American flags. They also created a replica of our Statue of Liberty ([link removed]) , as did the brave Chinese students in Tiananmen Square back in 1989.

This should make all Americans proud. But it should also break our hearts. Too often, our flag only makes news here in America when some spoiled young athlete turns their back on it or Antifa/BLM rioters set it on fire.

As Rep. Jim Jordan noted, "Protestors in Cuba and Hong Kong seem to love the American flag more than some of our Olympic athletes." Pathetic, but true.

We just witnessed a privileged American athlete ([link removed]) become furious when the national anthem was played while she was on the platform accepting her medal. But another person of color protesting in Cuba is inspired by the Stars and Stripes. (By the way, black Americans overwhelmingly oppose ([link removed]) such disrespectful temper tantrums by U.S. athletes and others.)

In communist Cuba, the government-run schools teach students that America is evil. But countless Cuban youth don't believe that. In this country, Marxists in our government-run schools are teaching our children that America is evil. And in far too many cases, the freest young people in the world actually believe it.

While I cheer the oppressed people of Cuba carrying the American flag, I pray that someday soon, young Americans buying into socialism and Marxism will wake up and embrace freedom.

In the meantime, I'm all for a student exchange program where we send our socialist-loving students to Cuba and Cuba sends us their kids who love America.



Leftists Flee Texas

Texas is historically known for the courage displayed at the Alamo. Brave Texans who had the chance to flee the fort and save their own lives instead held their ground and fought to the death. It's a one reason why Texas is part of the United States today and not part of Mexico.

But instead of holding their ground, Texas Democrats cut and ran ([link removed]) . They fled the state yesterday in order to prevent a quorum so that legislation ensuring that only legal votes are cast in our elections cannot pass.

These cowards shamelessly ran to private jets to fly to Washington, D.C. Presumably, they had to show IDs before they got on board – the very requirement they are fighting against now! By the way, who paid for these private jets?

To top it off, they were photographed on the packed plane all smiles. Not one of them was wearing a mask. These are the same finger-wagging liberals constantly demanding that everybody else must wear a mask, especially on planes. Apparently, they can do whatever they want.

This political crisis in Texas is why so many Americans are losing confidence in our elections.

Think about this: Joe Biden has opened the southern border. On average, at least 150,000 illegal aliens are crossing into the United States every month. Many are being taken to cities all over Texas and beyond. At the same time, Texas Democrats are opposing efforts to ensure that only legal U.S. citizens are voting in our elections.

The left is bringing millions of illegal immigrants into the country, and then gutting election safeguards. We all know what's going on. It's a brazen combination guaranteed to undermine the integrity of our elections. And it must be stopped!

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ([link removed]) is warning that these runaway legislators will be arrested as soon as they return to the state. Not to needlessly demoralize anyone, but why didn't Texas Republicans have a plan to stop this? Democrats have done it before ([link removed]) .

Was there no indication at all that this was being planned? If so, law enforcement officers should have been sent to the airport to detain them before they "escaped" here to the D.C. Swamp.



Denver's Gain; Atlanta's Pain

The MLB All-Star game is tonight. I'm sure the small businesses of Denver hit so hard by COVID lockdowns are thrilled to host the game. No doubt a lot of money will be made.

But I am praying for the many minority-owned small businesses in Atlanta that were looking forward to this day to help them recover after the pandemic. They were deprived of this relief for one reason: Georgia Democrats and their corporate cronies were willing to go to the mat to ensure that their election fraud continued unimpeded.

The collective left – the Democrat Party, the media, woke corporations and weak sports franchises – should be ashamed of themselves. In the name of diversity and justice, they took a huge opportunity away from an overwhelmingly minority city and sent it to an overwhelmingly white city in a state with similar voting laws ([link removed]) .

All the while, they accused Republicans of being "racists." The chutzpah is beyond amazing!

Kudos to the Republican National Committee. The RNC is running ads during tonight's game reminding viewers that "this was supposed to be Atlanta's night," but the people of Georgia "got played." You can see the ad here ([link removed]) .



Killer Camps

It's summer, and many parents and children eagerly welcomed the return of summer camps where kids can participate in a wide variety of outdoor events and educational opportunities.

But what if your kids were learning how to kidnap soldiers, train with automatic weapons, target police officers on a shooting range, crawl under barbed wire and fire anti-tank missiles, all while chanting "Death to Israel!"

What? That doesn't sound appropriate to you? Well, I should certainly hope not because it isn't appropriate at all. It's child abuse, but that's exactly what's happening at summer camps in Gaza ([link removed]) run by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Every year this outrageous news is breathlessly reported by the media, but it's the same old story. It's been going on for decades, and the world tolerates it.

Palestinians are training their children for war, teaching them to hate Israel and how to kill Jews. These are actual neo-Nazis, and Joe Biden just restored funding to them ([link removed]) .
