Be a voice for truth

Dear John,

President Ronald Reagan stated in 1983, "Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged." In that same speech, he articulated, "The real crisis we face today is a spiritual one; at root, it is a test of moral will and faith."

These wise words are more poignant today as I observe the state of our nation -- especially regarding the state of religious freedom.

Every day we see more instances of the radical Left targeting faithful Christians.

  • Jack Phillips, the Colorado baker, is fighting his third court battle in eight years because he refuses to use his artistic talents to celebrate lifestyles and messages that contradict his deeply-held religious beliefs.
  • Army chaplain Andrew Calvert was facing possible punishment for remarks he made on his personal Facebook page concerning his religious views about individuals who identify as transgender serving in the military. Thanks to the work of our allies at First Liberty Institute that represented Chaplain Calvert and the attention FRC and others brought to the case, the Army finally agreed to not issue a formal reprimand, saving his career.
  • Judge Wayne Mack of Texas faces a lawsuit by the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) for allowing chaplains -- including representatives of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism -- to offer opening prayers before his court proceedings. FFRF wants to end all prayer before government meetings despite the practice being consistently upheld as constitutional before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Christians are being silenced and canceled for living out their biblical convictions.

We must push back against this anti-freedom agenda!

Your vital, tax-deductible gift can help FRC protect religious freedom and equip Bible-believing Christians to stand courageously in their churches and communities.

To stand for truth in the shifting sands of culture, we must first know what truth is. That's why FRC launched our newest initiative -- the Center for Biblical Worldview (CBW) to provide resources for individuals, families, churches, and pastors who desire to grow in and strengthen their biblical worldview.

In conjunction with the launch of the CBW, FRC released the results of a new national survey that found that 51 percent of American adults believe they have a biblical worldview, despite research showing only six percent actually have one.

"This discrepancy between people's perceptions and reality points to Americans having a foundational misunderstanding of what a biblical worldview actually is," responded David Closson, the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview.

FRC's goal is to reverse the biblical illiteracy that is, unfortunately, common in many churches throughout the nation. The CBW will help Christians develop and live by a biblical worldview so they can advance and defend their faith in their workplaces, schools, communities, and the public square.

Isaiah 7:9 (NIV) urges, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."

More than ever before, Christians must be grounded in the truth of God's Word and be prepared to articulate that truth in a winsome manner.

Please join us as we impact America "from the inside-out" -- changing hearts and minds of believers in the pews so they will take their faith out into the world beyond the four walls of the church.

Will you dare to stand with us to reach millions of Americans with the truth?

DONATE NOW

We must apply God's Word to the culture in which we live and boldly stand in the face of cultural and political opposition.

By applying the Bible and the historical teachings of the church to a wide range of relevant issues -- including voting, religious liberty, abortion, marriage, and sexuality -- Christians fulfill the exhortation of 1 Peter 3:15 to "always be prepared to make a defense for the hope that is in you."

Thank you for advancing a biblical worldview and protecting religious freedom for all Americans.
