Dear John,
Ipas is currently engaged in a multi-year journey to shift power within our organization. We will transform into a global network with dispersed authority, power and leadership, yet still be bound by a common vision and mission. It’s a very exciting time!
Part of this shift is a commitment to shared leadership across all the countries where Ipas works, and therefore we’re pleased to announce that Pansi Katenga is our new Director of Development—and will direct Ipas’s fundraising efforts from Lilongwe, Malawi.
Pansi is a passionate advocate for reproductive justice and gender equity and has a proven track record, with 20 years of experience in international development and two years as Ipas Malawi country director. She has worked in women’s empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, disaster and risk management, community resilience building, food and nutrition security, and commodity management. Pansi has served in senior positions for various United Nations agencies, Adventist Relief Agency, Australian Aid and Christian Aid. She also raised funds and managed large grants from donors such as the European Union, the UK, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and the Global Fund for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
