I drove an ice cream truck in college, so I know what hot summer days are supposed to be like. I loved being an ice cream man, selling fudgsicles to neighborhood kids outside Fenway Park. But now, hot summer days are getting even hotter, and a whole new generation is rightfully demanding the bold action that will make sure our climate doesn't become something we barely recognize.

That's why I introduced the Civilian Climate Corps for Jobs and Justice Act in Congress with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez earlier this year—and it's why I'm so fired up to join Team Evergreen tomorrow for their virtual "Policy + Pints" happy hour.
