In case you missed it, John: Jared recently championed two bipartisan bills to help Congress reclaim its constitutional war powers -- and they passed in the House.

For far too long, presidents of both parties have sent young Americans overseas without enough oversight or accountability to the public. When it comes to war powers, the most practical next step is to clean up these past authorizations.

Earlier this year, Jared was part of a bipartisan group that introduced legislation to repeal two Authorizations of the Use of Military Force (AUMFs) that provided justification for the Gulf War and an Eisenhower-era authorization to fight communist threats in the Middle East.

And last month, the House of Representatives continued Jared’s work to reclaim Congress’s constitutional war powers by passing these two bipartisan bills. They now head to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
