Friend,

It’s easy to feel exhausted after living through Trump’s inhumane and destructive presidency. But we still have so much work to do, and we have a limited period of time to undo the administration’s damage and set things right for our future.

But here’s the deal: Fewer people have been signing our petitions and making gifts lately, but these moments in between major news and achievements are often when we need you the most. With a potentially history-making infrastructure bill on the line, new leadership at key agencies like the FCC, and racism and disinformation still putting people at great risk, it’s critical that we leave no opportunity unchecked.

Right now, we’re looking for 11 supporters in District of Columbia to help us build toward lasting systemic change. Will you join us as a new monthly donor today?

We’ve been fighting for nearly 20 years to transform media and technology and build toward a just and equitable future. But creating change requires vigilance not just in the weeks ahead, but in the months and even years ahead.

That is why our monthly donors — who provide the reliable source of revenue we need throughout the year to jump on every opportunity we find and confront any threat that arises — are so essential to the work we do at Free Press.

It’s in times like this, when progress must keep inching along to make our next big achievement possible, that the people who commit to our movement as monthly donors feel most important. Please become a monthly donor today and help us reach our goal of recruiting 11 supporters in District of Columbia now.

In the coming months, we’ll continue to keep a watchful eye on Congress’ negotiations on the American Jobs Plan — which could provide billions to bring high-speed internet to everyone. We’ll continue to put pressure on Facebook, YouTube and other social-media platforms to take meaningful steps toward curbing dangerous propaganda and racist content. We’ll continue to urge the White House and Congress to fill critical positions at the FCC, which could lead to the restoration of Net Neutrality and much more.

Planning ahead ensures that we can seize every opportunity to mobilize and act against the challenges that arise — and monthly donations from our supporters help us sustain those fights in the long run. Friend, can we count on you to support us with a monthly donation?
