Dear Friend,
In just sixteen months, the people of Colorado will decide whether I can continue serving as our Attorney General. On many fronts, we have important work to do, including the following:
* Defending our democracy, the Rule of Law, and our civil rights;
* Addressing the opioid epidemic;
* Protecting public safety and improving our criminal justice system;
* Protecting consumers; and
* Protecting our land, air, and water.

That’s why I am running for re-election.

To get our campaign off to a strong start, you can help in a number of ways. As mentioned above, you can share information with friends, colleagues, and family to get out my message. After all, people tend to distrust what they see in the media or in ads, but they trust people they know. And for those who are willing to work on getting out our message regularly, please join our amplifier network ([link removed]) .

Once again, we will be running a people-powered campaign. To lead that effort, I have hired Jacob Becklund, who has over a decade of experience running campaigns, to be my campaign manager. He is thrilled to come back to Colorado, where he worked on Michael Bennet’s 2010 Senate campaign, managed Kristin Stephens’ Fort Collins City Council campaign, and Daniel Kagan’s State House campaign. Jacob started last month and has already joined me on trips to the Western Slope and San Luis Valley.
