Today's Care Is Essential march included homecare, child care and nursing home workers joining together to march from Congress to Freedom Plaza to educate the public about the need for a $400 billion investment in home and community based services to strengthen the care workforce.
The march is ending at Freedom Plaza with the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:15 AM ET to launch a new art installation featuring portraits of family caregivers and care workers with the individuals they provide care for.
The launch event and ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks from care workers, and more.
