BREAKING via Time: “… ghost guns are becoming a more common … way for criminals to bypass gun laws and get their hands on firearms.”
We need your urgent response, John: With the right blueprints, little know-how is required to press a button, 3D-print, and assemble an untraceable deadly weapon. “Ghost guns” are being used by prohibited buyers and others to skirt background checks and extreme risk protection laws at an increasingly alarming rate – and it’s time we take action to regulate them once and for all.
In the last month, a ghost gun was used in a deadly shooting by a white supremacist in California trying to incite a race war. In the last year, a teenager who shouldn’t have been able to purchase a firearm obtained a ghost gun and perpetrated a school shooting, killing two children and injuring three others.
Congress has the power to regulate ghost guns and save lives – but right now, the NRA and Mitch McConnell will stop at nothing to prevent common-sense, bipartisan gun safety laws from being passed. That’s why we need top supporters like you to speak out on this critical issue now, but we’re still 12 responses short of statistical significance in your area. We can’t keep this poll open past 11:59 p.m., so please respond now:
Should Congress take action on untraceable ghost guns?
