WILL announced the creation of a new litigation center, The Equality Under the Law Project, to challenge unconstitutional race discrimination, quotas, and Critical Race Theory. The Equality Under the Law Project comes at a critical time when the federal government, states and cities, and even school districts are advancing policies and programs that discriminate on the basis of race – typically in the name of “equity.”

Heinrich, a recent Wisconsin Supreme Court victory that ensured more than 52,000 private school students and nearly 80,000 public school students could attend school in-person in 2020-2021.

WILL filed a lawsuit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on behalf of a Milwaukee resident challenging a Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) union leave policy. Under this policy, MPS pays public employees full wages and benefits to engage in union-related activities instead of the jobs they were hired for at the school district. This policy amounts to compelled speech because it forces Milwaukee taxpayers to subsidize labor union activities.
