Every New Yorker — and every American — deserves guaranteed housing, without mold, lead, or a leaky roof. 
 
NYCHA is underfunded, and without proper resources, it can’t adequately address the unlivable condition of New York’s public housing. 
 
That’s why Senator Schumer and I are calling on President Biden to invest $80 billion in federal funding for public housing to eliminate the capital repair needs of NYCHA and all public housing authorities nationwide. Every American deserves the right to safe, affordable, and livable housing, and with the proper funding, we can make it possible.
