Registration is now OPEN for HJTA’s special online webinar about reversing the tax increase that was hidden inside Proposition 19. We’re working hard to Reinstate Proposition 58, the 1986 constitutional amendment that allowed parents to transfer a home and other property to their children without reassessment, and without a change to the property tax bill.
Prop. 19 repealed Prop. 58, and now property is reassessed to market value when transferred from parents to children, with only limited exceptions.
