Dem AGs are aggressively defending our right to vote, but they need your help.
Friend, voting rights are under intense attack, thanks to radical, GOP-led state legislatures:
As of mid-May, 14 state legislatures have enacted 22 new laws that restrict voting access this year, with more attempts expected. Just last week, the Texas legislature shared plans to completely overhaul their voting system, with some of the most far-reaching restrictions in the whole country.
Rather than win elections the legitimate way – by bringing communities together, putting solutions on the table, and running clean campaigns – the GOP has decided to reshape the electorate in their favor. And that means introducing a slew of voter suppression bills that keep out BIPOC, low-income folks, and other marginalized groups.
Dem AGs have been aggressively defending our voting rights over this past year.
They took legal action to expand the number of polling locations in local elections. They’ve protected our mail-in ballots from delays at the hands of Trump’s postmaster general Louis DeJoy. And they successfully appealed to the courts to keep voters from being removed from the rolls.
But with a Trump-packed Supreme Court and GOP AGs fighting them tooth-and-nail, Dem AGs have to push even harder to preserve our right to vote.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
