John,
You may have seen that an ignited gas leak off the coast of Mexico caused an “eye of fire” on the ocean surface. The images circulating social media last week were petrifying to see for anyone concerned about the environment.
[[link removed]] The accident was just the most recent example of major industrial accidents caused by pipelines around the world. The U.S. The Department of Energy estimates that 1.3 million gallons of oil are spilled into U.S. water alone every year.
This leak illustrates further that we need to limit offshore drilling and transition away from fossil fuels.
SEEC PAC members are fighting for legislation that would reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and boost renewable energy sources. Will you contribute today so they know you support their efforts? [[link removed]]

Our forests are burning, our lakes are drying up, our oceans are on fire. These issues are interconnected to rapid climate change and are already impacting our way of life.
A “business as usual” approach that continues our reliance on fossil fuels will only make things worse. Instead of drilling that harms our environment and our climate, we must turn to renewable energy resources and zero-emission technologies.
Will you help us on our mission to turn this country away from harmful offshore drilling and towards renewable energy? Our economy and our planet depend on it. [[link removed]]
Thank you
