, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:

Did the Supreme Court just cancel "cancel culture"? ([link removed]
Last year, I testified at an IRS hearing where we debated whether the agency's regulations should require nonprofits to disclose their largest donors. I warned that such regs "expose donors to intimidation." Then earlier this month, the Supreme Court took the same view I advocated when it ruled that a California law forcing nonprofits to disclose donors is unconstitutional. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and other "giants" of the Left are, of course, incensed. CRC's Michael Hartmann reviews the Court's decision here ([link removed]
Did the NEA just declare war on America? ([link removed]
Last week, the National Education Association (NEA) threatened to declare war on students and parents by proposing yet more K-12 lockdowns. Perhaps recognizing this is a lost cause, the NEA general assembly declined to pull the trigger and instead voted to impose critical race theory on innocent children. The assembly allocated extra funding to fight those who dare oppose this radical-left ideology. Michael Watson reports from the battlefield here ([link removed]
What's Congress's latest scheme to subvert U.S. elections? ([link removed]
H.R. 1, the For the People Act, was a Democratic bid to federalize all U.S. elections into a top-down nightmare. It died a much deserved death a month ago. But CRC's Hayden Ludwig warns that its spawn--the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (H.R. 4)--would use vote by mail to radically transform the United States. The 2020 election was a dark comedy of errors, or worse, with much mischief facilitated by vote by mail. Ludwig looks into the abyss here ([link removed]
Can "woke" boardrooms be stopped? ([link removed]
Corporate support of "woke" activism is provoking significant opposition. A new group called Back To Neutral (B2N)--a coalition of center-right groups including the Capital Research Center--recently launched its Stop Corporate Tyranny campaign to educate the public on woke corporate culture. If big business isn't careful, it may find that cancel culture can work both ways, as Sarah Lee warns here ([link removed]

Featured VideoConsequences of
the PRO Act ([link removed] are workers worried about a bill that's supposed to help them? Because the PRO Act was written by union bosses, not workers. It would give unions coercive powers that have been illegal for decades. On top of that, it would end state right-to-work laws and destroy Uber, Lyft, and other gig-economy jobs. Many left-leaning people support the Pro Act, but one wonders if they realize the profound, far-reaching consequences if it passed.Watch our 3-minute video ([link removed]

InfluenceWatch Podcast 176Ranked Choice
Voting in NYC ([link removed] this episode ([link removed] do pizza toppings, test data, and waiting have to do with becoming mayor of New York City? Thanks to the city's new, confusing, and poorly administered "ranked choice voting" system, quite a lot. While New Yorkers voted on June 22 for their party nominees for mayor, on the Democratic side they didn't find out who won for more than two weeks. Joining us to discuss the car-crash outcome in NYC is Michael Hendrix, director of state and local policy for the Manhattan Institute.Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, or Stitcher.
