Montgomery County announced it would trade almost two acres of land close to Rockville in order to preserve affordable housing. The agreement is for a 564-unit complex off Twinbrook Parkway. As part of the exchange property owners are required to replace units in the redevelopment with comparable sizes, include 18 deeply affordable housing, and keep remaining units affordable for incomes under $65,000.
