Folks, Our public lands are just that — ours. They are treasures that we have inherited and will pass down to our children and grandchildren. They are ours to care for and conserve. We have to work to make sure we meet that responsibility even — and especially — in the face of aging infrastructure and the impacts of climate change. That’s why Martin fought so hard to pass the Great American Outdoors Act. It’s making record investments in the outdoor recreation economy and the repair of our national parks’ infrastructure, including here in New Mexico. Martin recently went underground at Carlsbad Caverns National Park to see some of this repair work firsthand. But at Carlsbad Caverns and so many other places, there is still more work to be done. The Great American Outdoors Act was a historic investment in our public lands, but we must do all we can to continue preserving our lands for future generations. We need to act to restore lands damaged by the Trump administration, repair damaged and outdated infrastructure, and fight climate change.
Thanks for speaking out. —Team Heinrich |
