I wanted to check in with you and give you a mid-month fundraising update, and I have to be honest: I'm worried.

Over the past few days, I've noticed that our fundraising has been inconsistent. If we're going to be able to compete with the national Republicans and our opponents, we can't afford to fall behind this early in the race. We need to make sure we get back on track. John, there's simply too much at stake to lose Laura's leadership in the governor's office. Everything from a bustling economy, good-paying jobs, safe and reliable infrastructure, and quality education could all be at risk if one of Laura's Brownback-approved opponents wins in 2022.

Typically, July is a slower fundraising month for most campaigns. But our race is shaping up to be one of the most competitive races in the country so we can't slow down, not even for a moment.
