John –

Last month, we introduced a series of bills to take on big tech. Tech titans like Google and Facebook dominate the digital economy with troves of data gathered from consumers and businesses.

Giving consumers more power over their data seems like a no-brainer, right? Well, not for the spokespeople at Facebook.

That's right. A Facebook spokesperson called the legislation a poison pill for America's tech industry.

Why might you ask? The legislation would make it easier for consumers to move their data to a rival platform.

The blatant greed from these tech companies is unacceptable – especially when we're talking about our personal data and information. That's why this legislation is more important than ever.

Together, we can make our voices heard and show big tech companies that we want control over our own data and information.

Thank you so much for being a part of this fight.
